Wanderers of Wind(風の旅人)

Yesterday, I visited at Café ‘del mundo’ around Hongik Univ. Café ‘del mundo’ is operated by a young Japanese. He ran a Japanese-style mini ramen bar in front of Ehwa Univ. a few years ago. After achieving his goal, he stepped forward in Spain to meet another opportunity for 1~2 years. As you guess already, a word of ‘del mundo’ is Spanish.(its meaning is ‘in the world’) His every step was amazing, above all light without any hesitate.

Its menu, drinks, decorations were less special than I expected. However there was a certain philosophy in that space. The shop shows antique clocks, cameras, consol-games, photo books, illustration books, Japanese novels and magazines. Especially, its antique clocks seem to form the core of his area. My friend said they all came from Japan. If the time piled up more, the café might deliver various ones such as Spanish, Korean, and more. I never think there are diverse clocks with each characteristics and nationality. At that time I could agree with her idea. Yes, he was so special guy.

Unlike his interest, my eyes were on a stock of magazines. Its title was ‘Wanderers of Wind(風の旅人, kazetabi)’ Its contents were consist of spectacle landscape photos, deep insights, and endless curiosity about a world. It was really a culture shock to me. Some idea hit me; ‘The more kinds of magazines we have, the wider and deeper of culture we can enjoy.’ Suddenly I envy the diversity of Japanese Magazines.

Secret Recipe: “Find your own item and Gather it from the world!!”
